Adrian David Cheok (Senior Member, IEEE)received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Adelaide, Adelaide, SA, Australia, in 1998.

He was a formerly Professor of pervasive com-puting at the University of London, London, U.K.; a Full Professor and the Executive Dean of the Graduate School of Media Design, Keio University, Tokyo, Japan; and an Associate Professor at the National University of Singapore, Singapore. He is currently a Full Professor at Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, Nanjing, China. His research interests include mixed reality and power electronics. Dr. Cheok was a recipient of Australia’s highest honor the Order of Australia for his contribution to international education and research by the Governor General of Australia, Representative of Her Majesty the Queen Elizabeth II.
